Our system integrates our mini-spectrophotometer in a toilet for continuous monitoring to provide a personalized “spectral fingerprint” of urine samples. No special equipment needed! Pete is an at-home urine monitoring device that becomes a part of anyone’s bathroom routine.
Included in your shipment box will be the device, anchor(s), and a user manual. Pete clips into the provided adhesive anchor at the front of your toilet bowl, just under the flush holes. Pete is designed to remain in the toilet to capture all your bathroom visits, however, can be easily removed as needed (ie when cleaning the toilet).
Once installed, Pete sends your urinary health information after every use to your Starling App on your smart phone. iPhone and Android phones are supported.
Pete will only capture users associated to the device, meaning, (1) Pete differentiates between multiple users and (2) Pete does not capture non users. Users will need a smartphone with access to the internet and bluetooth capability.

Pete is automatically cleaned through toilet flushes and no further cleaning is required. Our system confirms Pete is clean and ready for sample captures everyday through our calibration feature. At Starling we tend pop Pete out every two weeks to clean it with soap and water.

Pete has a 6 month use life with unlimited sample captures. Some of our users have up to 8 sample captures a day! When we see your Pete is nearing the end of it's use life, we will confirm you'd like us to send a replacement to continue on the program. No additional fees will be charged for device replacements.
At this time, Pete is not a FDA cleared medical device, and cannot be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
